Carolyn Reynolds started her career in insurance in 1995. She attended Eastern KY University from 1995-2000, where she studied Insurance and Risk Management. She got her Property/Casualty and Life/Health licenses in 1998. Carolyn is the agency President of Reynolds Insurance Agency, Inc. and L Marion Oliver Insurance Agency in Berea, KY.
She has served on the Board for the Madison County Home Builders Association for 15 years. Carolyn served on the KY State Home Builders Board from 2014-2016 as Associate Vice President and Vice President/Secretary. The KY Home Builders Association honored her in 2014 with the Gilbert E. Kittle Associate of the Year Award and in 2016 with the Presidential Leadership Award. She has also served on the fundraising committee for Hopes Wings (a nonprofit Domestic Violence Center) for 3 years, and was an ambassador for the Richmond Chamber of Commerce. She currently serves on the Business Advisory Board and Insurance Advisory Boards for Eastern KY University.
As a member of the Independent Insurance Agents of KY (IIAK), Carolyn currently serves on their board of directors as Vice Chair and served on the KY Young Insurance Professionals Committee from 2001-2017. She has held the committee chairs for Events, Membership, and Education. Under her leadership of the Membership Committee, the KYIPs received the National Membership Award. She served as the 2010 KYIP Chair, held a seat on the IIAK Board of Directors in 2010, and participated in IIAK subcommittees that include Events, Membership, and Industry Partners. She was awarded the KY Young Insurance Professional of The Year Award for 2010. In 2013, Carolyn was asked by the President of the IIABA (Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America) to serve on the National IIABA Young Agents Committee, where she mentored 11 states from across the country from 2013-2016. She and her father Paul Reynolds (who founded the agency in 1974) were featured on the cover of the IIABA National Insurance publication magazine called “IA” for their article featuring their niche in contractor business.
Carolyn enjoys spending time with her daughter Haley and boyfriend Michael. She loves to travel and enjoys boating and spending time at the lake. She also raises Simmental Cattle, and enjoys her love of cars and attending car shows. She and her family attend Southland Christian Church.
